Maximal Aerobic Power

Maximal Aerobic Power, often called VO2 max, is the highest amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. It reflects your cardiovascular and respiratory efficiency, as well as your muscle’s ability to utilize oxygen. Essentially, it measures your endurance capacity and how effectively your body delivers and uses oxygen to produce energy during sustained effort. This metric is important for athletes to gauge their aerobic fitness and can be improved through training. A higher VO2 max generally indicates better stamina and cardiovascular health.
