
Masood Azhar
Masood Azhar is an Indian-Pakistani Islamist militant leader and the founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist organization. He emerged in the late 1990s and gained notoriety for his involvement in various terrorist attacks, including the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. Azhar was held in Indian custody but was released in exchange for hostages during the 1999 IC-814 airplane hijacking. His group has been designated as a terrorist organization by multiple countries and is known for targeting India.
