Manor system

The Manor System was a feudal economic and social structure that predominated in medieval Europe, particularly from the 9th to the 15th centuries. It centered around a lord’s manor, a large estate that included farmland, a village, and often a manor house. Peasants, or serfs, worked the land in exchange for protection and a place to live. They produced food and goods for themselves and the lord. The system created a hierarchy, with the lord at the top, followed by nobles, peasants, and craftsmen, fostering a self-sufficient community tied to land ownership and agricultural output.
