Manchuria is a historical region in Northeast Asia, primarily located in modern-day China, encompassing parts of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces. It's bordered by Russia and Korea. Manchuria is significant for its rich natural resources and has been the site of various historical conflicts, including those involving Japan, China, and Russia. In the early 20th century, Japan invaded and occupied Manchuria, establishing a puppet state called Manchukuo. The region played a crucial role in the dynamics of East Asian geopolitics and industrial development during the 20th century.
