Malcom X

Malcolm X was an influential African American leader and activist during the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Born in 1925, he rose to prominence as a vocal advocate for Black empowerment and social justice. Initially associated with the Nation of Islam, he promoted ideas of racial pride and self-defense against oppression. His views evolved after a pilgrimage to Mecca, where he embraced a more inclusive vision of human rights. Malcolm X is remembered for his powerful speeches and writings that challenged systemic racism and inspired many in the struggle for equality. He was assassinated in 1965.
