Mahomed Zahir Shah
Mahomed Zahir Shah was the last king of Afghanistan, reigning from 1933 to 1973. He was initially a symbol of stability and traditional monarchy, aiming to modernize the country. His rule saw efforts to develop infrastructure and education. However, political instability and internal conflicts grew over time. In 1973, he was overthrown in a coup and lived much of his later life in exile. Despite his abdication, Zahir Shah remains a significant historical figure for Afghanistan's modern history, symbolizing both monarchy and national unity.
