Madahib (Schools of Thought)
Madahib, or Islamic schools of thought, are different interpretations and legal traditions within Islam that guide worship, daily life, and religious practices. They developed as scholars analyzed and debated religious texts to address various situations. The main Sunni schools are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali, each with its own methods of understanding Islamic law (Sharia). These schools share core beliefs but differ in certain rulings, allowing flexibility and diversity within the faith. They help Muslims follow religious principles practically, respecting different scholarly opinions while maintaining unity in core beliefs.
