Lymphoproliferative disorders
Lymphoproliferative disorders are conditions where certain immune cells called lymphocytes grow and multiply uncontrollably. These disorders include different types of blood cancers, such as lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, that originate in the lymphatic system—part of the immune system that helps fight infections. This abnormal growth can form tumors or cause excessive accumulation of lymphocytes, impairing immune function. These disorders result from genetic changes or immune system issues, and their severity and treatment can vary. Proper diagnosis and management are important to control disease progression and maintain health.
