lux

Lux is a measurement of light intensity that indicates how much luminous flux (light energy) is received over a specific area. Essentially, it tells you how bright a surface appears under a given light source. For example, brighter rooms have higher lux levels, while dimly lit spaces have lower levels. One lux equals one lumen per square meter. This measurement helps in designing lighting for workplaces, homes, and outdoor areas to ensure appropriate illumination for comfort, safety, and productivity.
