Lung Nodules
Lung nodules are small, round growths in the lungs that can be detected through imaging tests like X-rays or CT scans. They are usually 3 centimeters or smaller and can be caused by various factors, including infections, inflammation, or tumors. While many nodules are benign (non-cancerous), some can be cancerous. The size, shape, and appearance of the nodule, along with patient history, help doctors determine if further evaluation is needed. Regular monitoring or additional tests may be recommended to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment. Most lung nodules do not cause symptoms and are often discovered incidentally.
