Luminous Mysteries
The Luminous Mysteries, also known as the Mysteries of Light, are a set of five events in the life of Jesus Christ, meditated upon during the Rosary. They were introduced by Pope John Paul II in 2002 to emphasize Jesus’ public ministry and His divine identity. These mysteries include Christ’s baptism in the Jordan River, His self-manifestation at the wedding at Cana, His proclamation of the Kingdom of God, the Transfiguration, and the Institution of the Eucharist. Together, they help believers reflect on Jesus’ mission, His divine nature, and the importance of faith and understanding in spiritual growth.
