Lumbar spondylosis

Lumbar spondylosis is a common age-related condition involving the wear and tear of the spinal bones, discs, and joints in the lower back. Over time, this degeneration can cause the bones and discs to become less flexible, leading to stiffness, pain, and sometimes nerve compression. It is similar to how joints in other parts of the body wear down with age. While it often causes back discomfort and reduced movement, it can sometimes present with symptoms like leg pain or numbness if nerves are affected. Treatment typically includes physical therapy, pain management, and exercise to improve function.
