Lumbar Region
The lumbar region refers to the lower part of your back, comprising five vertebrae labeled L1 to L5. Located between the rib cage and the pelvis, this area bears much of your upper body's weight and allows for movement like bending and twisting. It plays a vital role in stability and mobility; however, it is also susceptible to strain, injuries, and conditions such as herniated discs. Proper posture, strengthening exercises, and avoiding overloading can help maintain lumbar health and prevent discomfort or injury.
