Loyalist soldiers

Loyalist soldiers were individuals during the American Revolutionary War who supported the British Crown and remained loyal to Britain rather than fighting for independence. Often called Loyalists or Tories, they were from colonies where allegiance to Britain was strong or who believed that maintaining ties with Britain was best for their interests. These soldiers fought alongside British troops against the revolutionary Patriots. After the war, many Loyalists left the United States, relocating to British territories like Canada and the Caribbean, seeking safety and stability under British rule.
