Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte
Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, later known as Napoleon III, was the nephew of the famous French leader Napoleon Bonaparte. He became the first President of France in 1848 after a revolution and later declared himself Emperor in 1852, establishing the Second French Empire. His rule is marked by economic modernization, urban development, and military campaigns, but it ended with defeat in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870, leading to his exile. He aimed to restore the glory of France, but his ambitions ultimately contributed to the rise of republicanism in France.
