Lord Wellesley

Lord Wellesley was a British statesman and colonial administrator in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. As Governor-General of India (1798–1805 and 1809–1813), he strengthened British control through military campaigns, notably in India, and established diplomatic relations to expand British influence.
