Lord Privy Seal

The Lord Privy Seal is a high-ranking official in the British government, traditionally a member of the Cabinet. The title originally referred to the bearer’s responsibility for the royal seal, used to endorse official documents. Today, the role is often more ceremonial than functional, as it does not require a specific department to oversee. The Lord Privy Seal may also assist with government administration and represent the Prime Minister in certain matters, often engaging in a variety of political and diplomatic tasks.
