Lord Irwin (Frederick Henry Lascelles, 1st Earl of Irwin)

Frederick Henry Lascelles, the 1st Earl of Irwin, known as Lord Irwin, was a British diplomat and statesman born in 1881. He served as the British ambassador to India from 1921 to 1926 and later as the Viceroy of India from 1926 to 1931, representing British interests during a crucial period of Indian independence movement.
