LON (League of Nations)
The League of Nations was an international organization established after World War I in 1920 to promote peace and cooperation among countries. Its goal was to prevent future conflicts by encouraging diplomacy, disarmament, and resolving disputes peacefully. While it aimed to maintain global stability, it struggled with enforcement and lacked participation from some major powers, which limited its effectiveness. Although it ultimately failed to prevent World War II, it laid the groundwork for later organizations like the United Nations, emphasizing collective security and international dialogue.
