Logical Volume Manager (LVM)

Logical Volume Manager (LVM) is a system that manages storage on a computer more flexibly than traditional partitioning. Instead of fixed sections on a disk, LVM combines multiple physical storage devices into a single, manageable pool called a volume group. From this pool, you create logical volumes, which can be resized, moved, or backed up easily without affecting the entire storage layout. This flexibility simplifies storage management, allows efficient use of space, and makes it easier to add or reconfigure storage as needs change.
