Llywelyn ap Iorwerth

Llywelyn ap Iorwerth, known as Llywelyn the Great, was a 13th-century Welsh prince who unified much of Wales under his leadership. He was a skilled military and political leader, strengthening Welsh independence during a time of Norman and English influence. Llywelyn established himself as prince of Gwynedd and expanded his power through alliances and military success. His reign marked a high point in Welsh sovereignty before English expansion eventually diminished Welsh independence.
