Llywelyn ap Gruffudd
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd was a 13th-century Welsh prince and the last native ruler of Wales before its conquest by England. As prince of Gwynedd, he sought to unify Wales and maintain its independence during a period of growing English influence. Known for his leadership and diplomatic efforts, he aimed to strengthen Welsh sovereignty. However, after years of conflict, he was eventually captured and killed by English forces in 1282, marking the end of native Welsh rule.
