Litecoin
Litecoin is a type of digital currency, often referred to as a cryptocurrency, created in 2011 by Charlie Lee. It is based on similar technology as Bitcoin but is designed to process transactions faster and more efficiently. Litecoin uses a different mining algorithm, which allows for quicker transaction confirmations and a more significant supply of coins. It was developed to facilitate everyday transactions and improve on some of Bitcoin's limitations. As with other cryptocurrencies, it operates on a decentralized network, meaning it isn't controlled by any government or financial institution.
