LIGA Process

The LIGA process is a manufacturing technique used to create very precise and tiny structures, often used in electronics and micro-mechanics. It involves three main steps: first, a thick layer of a special polymer (resist) is coated onto a surface. Next, an X-ray beam selectively exposes areas of this resist, making them more easily removable. Finally, the exposed parts are washed away, leaving behind a detailed mold. This mold can then be filled with metals or other materials to form tiny, high-precision parts. LIGA allows for the production of small, complex components that are difficult to make using traditional methods.
