Level 2 Charging

Level 2 charging refers to a faster method of charging electric vehicle (EV) batteries using a 240-volt power source, similar to the outlet used for large appliances. It typically charges an EV much quicker than a standard household outlet, providing about 10 to 60 miles of range per hour of charging. This makes it suitable for home installation or public charging stations, allowing drivers to recharge their vehicles overnight or during extended stops. Level 2 chargers are common and convenient, balancing fast charging with widespread availability and relatively moderate costs.
