Lev Vygotsky's Theory

Lev Vygotsky's theory emphasizes that a child's learning is deeply influenced by social interactions and the cultural context in which they grow. He proposed that children develop new skills and understanding through guided support from more knowledgeable others, called the "more knowledgeable other." Central to his idea is the "Zone of Proximal Development" (ZPD), which is the difference between what a child can do alone and what they can achieve with help. Vygotsky believed that social dialogue and collaboration are essential for cognitive development and learning.
