Leonine Sacramentary
The Leonine Sacramentary is an ancient Christian liturgical book used mainly in the Western Roman Rite during the 8th to 12th centuries. It contains prayers, hymns, and rituals for the celebration of the Mass and other church services. Named after Pope Leo IV, it reflects the early medieval church's prayer traditions and liturgical practices. While it was gradually replaced by other missals, the Leonine Sacramentary is significant for understanding early Western Christian worship and its development over time.
