Lens-based stabilization
Lens-based stabilization, often called optical image stabilization (OIS), is a technology in cameras that reduces blurriness caused by hand movements. Inside the lens or camera module, small sensors detect tiny shakes or jitters. The camera then adjusts the position of lens elements or the image sensor itself to counteract these movements in real-time. This process helps produce sharper images and smoother videos, especially in low-light conditions or when using zoom. Essentially, it's like giving the camera a steady hand, ensuring clearer, more stable photos without needing a tripod.
