Lega Nord

Lega Nord, also known as the Northern League, is an Italian political party founded in 1991. It initially focused on advocating for greater autonomy and independence for Italy’s northern regions, which are economically stronger. Over time, it broadened its platform to include national issues, emphasizing strong immigration controls, Euroskepticism, and skepticism of the European Union. The party promotes regional identity, economic self-sufficiency, and conservative values.
