Leg Fractures

Leg fractures are breaks in one or more of the bones in the leg, which includes the femur (thigh bone), tibia (shin bone), and fibula (smaller bone alongside the tibia). They typically result from trauma, such as falls, accidents, or sports injuries. Symptoms include severe pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty moving the leg. Treatment often involves immobilization with a cast or splint, and in some cases, surgery may be necessary to realign the bones. Recovery can take weeks to months, depending on the severity of the fracture and the individual's overall health.
