lay Dominicans
Lay Dominicans are everyday members of the Dominican Order who are not ordained clergy. They commit themselves to living out the Order's spiritual ideals—such as prayer, study, and service—in their daily lives. Unlike friars or priests, lay Dominicans remain in the world, balancing their faith commitments with family, work, and community responsibilities. They participate in the order’s mission to seek truth and promote justice, often through prayer groups, educational efforts, or social outreach, helping integrate their faith into all aspects of life.
