Lambda baryon

A Lambda baryon is a type of subatomic particle made up of three quarks, specifically one strange quark and two lighter quarks (such as up and down). It is classified as a baryon, which are particles that compose protons and neutrons—the building blocks of atomic nuclei. Lambda baryons are unstable and decay quickly into other particles.
