
Lala Lajpat Rai
Lala Lajpat Rai (1865-1928) was a prominent Indian freedom fighter and leader in the struggle against British colonial rule. He played a significant role in the Indian National Congress and was known for advocating social reforms and national unity. Rai is best remembered for his strong opposition to the oppressive policies of the British government, particularly the repressive measures taken after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He led protests against the Simon Commission in 1928, where he was injured in a police baton charge and later died. His legacy is that of courage and commitment to India's independence.
