Ladin Language
Ladin is a Romance language primarily spoken in the Dolomite Mountains of northern Italy, particularly in the regions of South Tyrol, Trentino, and Veneto. It evolved from Latin and shares similarities with other Romance languages, such as Italian and French. Ladin is considered a minority language and is spoken by around 30,000 people. It is recognized for its rich cultural heritage, including unique traditions, music, and literature. Efforts are underway to preserve and promote Ladin, notably through education and media, as it faces challenges from dominant languages like Italian and German in the region.
