Friulian

Friulian is a Romance language spoken primarily in the Friuli region of northeastern Italy. It evolved from Latin, like other Romance languages such as Italian, French, and Spanish. Friulian has its own distinct vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, making it different from Italian, though they share some similarities. It is recognized as a minority language and has efforts in place for its preservation and promotion. Although it is spoken by a smaller population compared to Italian, it reflects the unique cultural identity of the Friuli region and is an integral part of its heritage.
