Ladin

Ladin is a Romance language spoken in the Dolomite Mountains of northern Italy. It evolved from Vulgar Latin, influenced by the surrounding Germanic languages and cultures. Ladin is primarily spoken in specific valleys, such as Val Badia and Val Gardena, and has several dialects. While it shares similarities with Italian, Swiss Romance languages, and Occitan, its unique characteristics make it distinct.
