La Concertación
La Concertación was a political coalition in Chile formed in the 1980s to oppose the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. It brought together several center-left parties committed to restoring democracy, promoting social reforms, and transitioning to civilian rule. The coalition played a key role in Chile's return to democracy in the 1990s, governing the country for many years and shaping policies aimed at social justice and economic stability. La Concertación’s efforts helped transform Chile into a more democratic and socially inclusive society.
