L1, L2, L5 Bands

L1, L2, and L5 bands are specific frequencies used by GPS satellites to transmit signals. L1 (1575.42 MHz) is the primary band, providing standard positioning data. L2 (1227.60 MHz) offers additional data for improved accuracy and is used for more precise applications. L5 (1176.45 MHz) is a newer, advanced band designed for enhanced signal reliability, better performance in challenging environments, and future navigation needs. Together, these bands enable more accurate, reliable, and resilient GPS positioning for navigation, mapping, and timing systems.
