Kush refers to an ancient kingdom located in what is now Sudan, south of ancient Egypt. It thrived from around 800 BC to 300 AD and is known for its rich culture, impressive pyramids, and strong influence on Egypt. The rulers of Kush, called the Kushites, even conquered Egypt at times, marking the 25th Dynasty. The Kushite civilization was renowned for its advancements in art, architecture, and trade, reflecting a blend of indigenous African and Egyptian influences. Today, the region is a significant area for archaeological studies, revealing its historical importance in the Nile Valley.
