Kitab al-Kimya (Book of Chemistry)
Kitab al-Kimya, or the Book of Chemistry, is a 9th-century Arabic text attributed to the alchemist Jabir ibn Hayyan. It is one of the earliest comprehensive works on alchemy and early chemistry, exploring the transformation of substances, medicinal preparations, and experimental techniques. The book combines practical laboratory methods with philosophical ideas about the nature of matter, aiming to understand and manipulate the elements for health and scientific progress. It laid foundational concepts for later alchemy and chemistry, bridging mystical practices with systematic scientific inquiry.
