Kingdom of Wu
The Kingdom of Wu was a Chinese state during the Three Kingdoms period (220–280 CE), located in southeastern China. Founded by Sun Quan after the fall of the Han Dynasty, it was known for its strong navy, thriving commerce, and cultural development. Wu's capital was Jian'an (modern-day Nanjing). It was one of the three rival kingdoms, alongside Wei and Shu, competing for control of China. Wu played a significant role in Chinese history, especially during famous battles like the Battle of Red Cliffs. Its legacy includes contributions to Chinese politics, military strategy, and culture.
