Kingdom of Outremer

The Kingdom of Outremer was a collection of Crusader states established in the Eastern Mediterranean, mainly in present-day Israel, Lebanon, and Syria, during the 12th and 13th centuries. Created after the First Crusade, these kingdoms aimed to secure Christian control over the Holy Land from Muslim rule. Notable states included the Kingdom of Jerusalem, County of Tripoli, and Principality of Antioch. Outremer was a battleground of frequent conflicts between Crusaders and Muslim forces, and it served as a vital but fragile Christian foothold in the region until its decline in the late 13th century.
