King's Royal Regiment of New York
The King's Royal Regiment of New York was a British Loyalist military unit formed during the American Revolutionary War, comprised mainly of colonists who remained loyal to Britain. Raised in 1776, it fought alongside British forces against the American revolutionaries. Known for its discipline and organization, the regiment played a significant role in various battles across New York and in Canada. After the war, many members settled in Canada, contributing to its development. The regiment is notable for being one of the few Loyalist units to maintain a distinct identity during and after the conflict.
