King Cetshwayo

King Cetshwayo (c. 1826–1884) was the last king of the Zulu Kingdom before it was annexed by the British. He played a pivotal role during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, where his forces achieved notable victories against British troops, including the significant Battle of Isandlwana. Cetshwayo was ultimately captured by the British and exiled, but he was later reinstated as king. His leadership is remembered for its resistance to colonial powers, as well as his efforts to maintain Zulu culture and traditions during a turbulent period in South African history.
