Kimberlite

Kimberlite is a type of volcanic rock formed deep within the Earth's mantle. When it erupts rapidly to the surface, it creates pipe-shaped formations that can contain diamonds and other minerals. Kimberlite originates from high-pressure, high-temperature conditions in the Earth's interior, and its unique properties allow it to transport diamonds from deep within the Earth to accessible surface locations. Geologists study kimberlite to find diamond deposits, and these formations are key to diamond exploration efforts worldwide.
