Khorasan

Khorasan is a historical region located in northeastern Iran and parts of surrounding countries, including Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. The name means "Land of the Rising Sun" in Persian. Historically, it was a significant cultural and trade center along the Silk Road, known for its rich Persian heritage and contributions to art, science, and literature. Khorasan was also famous for its beautiful carpets and textiles. Today, it is often associated with the Khorasan Province in Iran, which retains much of this rich cultural history and continues to be an important area in the region.
