Khilji Empire
The Khilji Empire was a powerful Muslim dynasty that ruled northern India from 1290 to 1320. Founded by Jalaluddin Khilji and expanded by his nephew Alauddin Khilji, it was known for strong military campaigns, especially against rival kingdoms and invasions from the Mongols. The Khiljis implemented advanced administrative reforms, strengthened the economy, and maintained a large standing army. Their rule marked a period of significant political and military stability, and they contributed to cultural and architectural development. The empire eventually declined after Alauddin's death, giving way to other dynasties in Indian history.
