Kate Brown

Kate Brown is an American politician who served as the Governor of Oregon from 2015 to 2023. She is a member of the Democratic Party and was the first openly bisexual governor in U.S. history. Prior to her governorship, she held various positions, including Oregon Secretary of State and Senate President. Brown became governor after the previous governor resigned and was elected to the position in her own right in 2018. She is known for her focus on education, healthcare, climate change, and social justice issues, working to address state challenges through policy and leadership.
