Kapton

Kapton is a high-performance polyimide film known for its excellent thermal stability, electrical insulation, and chemical resistance. It can withstand extremely high temperatures—up to around 400°C (752°F)—without melting or losing its properties, making it ideal for use in aerospace, electronics, and industrial applications. Despite its durability at high temperatures, it remains flexible and lightweight. Kapton's ability to maintain its integrity in harsh environments allows it to serve as insulation for wiring, flexible circuit boards, and protective layers in spacecraft and electronic equipment.
