Kapila
Kapila is an ancient Indian philosopher and sage, traditionally regarded as the founder of Samkhya, one of the six classical schools of Indian philosophy. Samkhya is a dualistic system that explains the universe through two fundamental principles: consciousness (Purusha) and matter (Prakriti). Kapila’s teachings emphasize understanding the nature of reality, the distinction between the eternal self and the material world, and achieving liberation (moksha) by discerning this difference. His philosophy has deeply influenced Indian thought, meditation practices, and spiritual traditions, offering a rational framework for understanding existence and the path to spiritual freedom.
